For our third Meet The Team feature of 2021, we’d like to introduce you to Dianne March, another of the long-standing and valued members of the Company. Dianne joined DCN in 1998, starting out working on our reception desk, fielding calls and queries as well as training up other members of the admin staff. Her role has changed over the years, and now as DCN’s Sales Estimator she prepares the technical quotations for our customers.
Dianne’s day-to-day role is to take an enquiry to the stage of a finished proposal suitable to send to the potential client. This can encompass anything from a fairly basic Can Opener quotation, through to a highly detailed multi-page proposal for a multi-million pound Cooking and Cooling System. In addition, she is the main point of contact for raising the internal Sales Order documentation from a client’s Purchase Order, and liaising with departments regarding the detail relevant to their roles.
Dianne’s ability to take a basic set of notes and comments and understand them to create an accurate estimate and professional quotation is one of her main strengths. She is able to deal with a demanding sales team and still meet everyone’s deadlines. Her experience and input is invaluable, and she is a highly regarded and intrinsic part of the DCN Sales Team
In her spare time, Dianne enjoys walking, nature, reading and a few glasses of wine!
